Team, roles and access

Invite your team for free, give each person a role, choose which projects they see, and follow what happened in the activity log.

A workspace is your company or studio: its projects, sites and people. You can belong to several workspaces and switch between them from the workspace menu.

Roles

Role What they can do
Owner Everything, including transferring ownership and deleting the workspace
Admin People, clients, payments and every project
Member Designs, builds and publishes sites
Content editor Content, forms and page SEO. Doesn't change the design or publish the site

"Free. Tandmade never charges for people." There are no paid seats and no guest fees.

Invite people

  1. Open Team in the dashboard and click Invite people.
  2. Type one or more email addresses, up to 20 at once.
  3. Choose a role, and which projects they can open: all projects, including future ones, or only the ones you pick.
  4. Send. The invitation is valid for 7 days.

The email says who invited them, to which workspace and with which role. They sign in with the invited address. On an invitation you can resend it, copy its link to send yourself, or cancel it.

Change access

Team has four parts: Members, Invitations, By project and Activity. Pick another role on a person's row; it applies at once and the message has Undo. By project shows who can open which project, and lets you invite someone straight into one.

To leave a workspace, use Leave… on your own row. The only owner can't leave; make someone else the owner first.

Access to projects isn't a security wall Choosing projects for a member keeps their workspace tidy. To limit what someone can do, give them the Content editor role.

Activity

Activity records invitations, role and access changes, handovers, publishes, deletions and exports: "Tom published Harbor Coffee to harborcoffee.com".

Workspace settings

Settings in the dashboard:

  • What this workspace is for — I build sites for clients (clients and handovers) or We run our own company's website.
  • Integrations — the workspace's Figma connection.
  • Danger zone — transfer ownership and delete the workspace. Both ask you to type its name, and only the owner sees them.

Next Hand a finished site to your client: Hand a site over to your client.
