Comments in depth

Pins and areas, threads per screen size, mentions and emails, handing one comment or all of them to the agent, and what connected AI apps can do with comments.

This continues Work together on a site.

Pins and areas

With Comments on (⇧C), a click pins a comment to the element under it. Drag to mark an area, for example across several cards. A pinned comment follows its element when the page changes.

Screen sizes and browsers

A comment remembers where it was written: "Mobile · 390 px", "Chrome on macOS". It shows on that size; clicking it from the panel switches the page to the right page, language and size.

The panel

Tab Shows
Open Every open thread on the page
For you Threads where you were mentioned
Done Closed threads; Reopen brings one back

Who can comment: your team, the client and the client's colleagues. Everyone in the editor sees a new comment as it arrives.

Mentions

Type @ and pick someone. They get an email with the comment and a link straight to the thread. Only people with access to the site can be mentioned.

Hand work to the agent

Three ways:

  • Hand to agent in a thread;
  • @Agent in a message;
  • Hand N open on this page to the agent, for every open thread at once.

The agent works where the comment is pinned, with the whole thread as its brief. A question gets an answer; a request changes the site. It replies in the thread in the name of the person who started it: "✦ Agent · launched by Ada". A bar above its reply shows what it's doing:

  • working: "Reading the Hero section…";
  • asking: the options as buttons;
  • done: Keep & done, Undo and Show.

A comment never starts the agent on its own, because clients comment too. Only someone working in the full editor can hand work over.

Keep the tab open The agent's reply reaches the thread only while the editor tab you handed it from is open.

Connected AI apps

An app connected through MCP, like Claude Code or ChatGPT, can read comments, write them, reply and close them. In the thread it's marked as an app: "✦ Claude Code · MCP · launched by Ada". See Use your own AI agent.

Limits

  • You get an email when you're mentioned, not for every reply.
  • Comments take no attachments, pictures or reactions, and don't show in the small phone view beside the page.
  • Comments aren't part of a site export.
